Credentials & Experience
Sandy Hackett brings a lifetime of entertainment industry experience to his teaching. Motivated by his father, famed comedian Buddy Hackett, Sandy has evolved as a performer, producer, writer, and entertainer. He holds a degree in Hotel Administration from UNLV, where he also served as Director of Entertainment. His extensive background includes:
- Several years teaching acting at the Desert Theater Arts Academy in Las Vegas.
- Instructor for numerous private students in Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
- Taught Public Speaking at UNLV for three semesters.
- Worked with young dancers at the Elite Dance and Performing Arts Academy to incorporate acting.
- Produced and hosted talent showcases in major casinos for over 14 years, presenting over ten thousand acts and launching careers.
- Operated his own successful comedy club in Laughlin, Nevada.
- Creator, caster, and director of the touring "Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show" since 2001.
