Overview

Sense & Sound LLC, a design and installation firm for professional and private audio studios, seeks meticulous individuals for manufacturing and installation roles. You will produce and install custom acoustic panels and studio hardware. Pay starts at $18 per hour during training, advancing to $20 per hour upon proven competency, with further increases based on responsibility and performance.

Responsibilities

• Workshop Duties: Cutting components, aiding in final assembly, handling materials, and loading/unloading goods using tools like drills, staplers, and sanders.
• Installation Duties: Loading/unloading at job sites, mounting acoustic panels, using laser levels, and performing detail-focused work in spaces with high-value equipment.

Requirements

Candidates must possess the ability to:

• Maintain high attention to detail and a professional demeanor.
• Communicate clearly and responsibly.
• Read, write, and converse proficiently in English.
• Comprehend basic plans and schematic diagrams.
• Lift over 50 pounds and remain standing for prolonged periods.
• Perform straightforward arithmetic calculations.
• Use ladders and work comfortably at elevated heights.
• Accurately read a tape measure using inches.
• Safely operate standard carpentry tools (drills, saws, sanders, staplers).
• Be consistently punctual and prepared.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous woodworking experience, willingness to learn advanced techniques, a personal connection to music, and a good sense of humor.

Position Details

• Schedule: Part-time (3 to 4 days per week), with potential to evolve into a full-time role.
• Training: Comprehensive, paid training provided at the minimum wage rate.
• Pay: Begins at $18/hour during training, advancing to $20/hour upon proven competency. Further increases correspond with responsibility and autonomy.
